We were delighted to host Black Tech Fest in October 2022 for its first in-person festival. The three-day hybrid event at Magazine London was a sparkling celebration of equality through technology and culture. Speakers included the entrepreneur and podcaster Steven Bartlett, influencer Patricia Bright and singer and mental health advocate Michelle Williams. Having launched as an online initiative, it was important that the festival was accessible to its dedicated online community. The venue and production teams ensured a seamless interactive experience for attendees, whether visiting in person or joining from home.
Coming together in real life gave the organisers the opportunity to showcase some of the products and people who have led the industry towards greater inclusion. Across both the main spaces of Magazine London, an expo presented the best in innovation from the UK and beyond, with three stages built across the site for panel discussions, talks and live broadcasts. Outside on The Terrace, guests tucked into street food with views over the River Thames, while the Mezzanines inside the venue provided the ideal spaces for breakouts and meet-ups: this vibrant hybrid event was a masterclass in bringing together online and in-person communities.
