Earlier this month Barcode Festival returned to Magazine London for the third consecutive year, bringing together thousands of guests for a fundraising effort which raised over £1 million for the first time. The vital funds raised allow GroceryAid to continue work in supporting the trade with free financial, emotional and practical support.
The fun-filled day of music, food and philanthropy was supported by over 100 sponsors who transformed the expansive site with a kaleidoscope of activations. Magazine London’s riverside Showground provided the perfect setting for a summer party like no other as guests enjoyed an abundance of entertainment and stellar performances throughout the day and late into the night.
Set against the backdrop of the Canary Wharf skyline, the Swan Stage saw Eastenders star, Shaun Williamson bringing Barrioke; Drag Race divas Ella Vaday and Kitty Scott-Claus, plus rapper and singer Tinchy Stryder, while the M&S Demo Kitchen hosted celebrity chefs Ainsley Harriot, Rosemary Shrager and ‘First Dates’ host Fred Sirieix.
In the black box of Space Two, the Skittles Stage stole the show with the night’s headliners, 90s superstar DJ, Fatboy Slim; girl band icons the Sugababes and Eurovision sensation, Sam Ryder.
We’re looking forward to another memorable event when Barcode Festival returns to Magazine London on 4th July 2024.
